Brug 63/Bridge 63 map and location
Connecting Westermarkt with Rozengracht the Nieuwe-Wercksbrug #brug63 spans the Prinsengracht near the Westertoren.
Of course it is no surprise that like most of the bridges we have encountered so far there has been a bridge for centuries. So old in fact the local neighbourhood has had time to change it’s name to Jordaan.
Joan Blaeu’s map, from about 1649, already shows the bridge when it led to the northern quay of the Rozengracht which undeveloped was then still open water.
