This wide road bridge, over which tram lines 2 and 12 run, is located on the Leidsestraat and spans the Keizersgracht in the historic Amsterdam Canal Belt. The design is another by the “new bridge man” in Amsterdam during the early part of the 20th centruy, Piet Kramer and is a national monument since 2001. Like another bridge along Leidsestraat #bridge29 #dekoningssluis Hildo Krop had already made a design for a number of sculptures for the bridge and Johan Polet ‘s stonemason manufactured the statues.
