Bridge 44 Unnamed. Brug vierenveertig.
This arch bridge is located in the southwest bank of the Keizersgracht. The bridge spans the Leidsegracht. Like many of our previous bridges #brug44 had an unofficial name until the review in 2016. The unofficial name for this bridge was Hemony Bridge after brothers Pieter and François Hemony who in the 17th century had their workshop on the corner of Keizersgracht and Molenpad just around the corner from the bridge. It didn’t make the cut for a name though and remains unnamed.
